Stemming from a family legacy of political prominence and charitable values, Shri Patel is inspired by his late father, Shri Manoharbhai Patel, a highly regarded Maharashtra Congress leader. In addition to his political activities, Praful Patel has proven to be an exceptionally skilled operator within the family business empire.

Career History

Throughout his parliamentary career, Shri Praful Patel has showcased exemplary leadership, contributing significantly to parliamentary committees such as Finance, Civil Aviation, Environment and Forests, and Foreign Affairs. Noteworthy is his role as Chairman of the Indo-UK Parliamentary Forum and his founding membership in the Indo-US Parliamentary Forum, highlighting his diplomatic acumen and commitment to international collaboration.

Recognized for his outstanding work, Shri Praful Patel has won numerous awards, such as the coveted CAPA Aviation Minister of the Year Award in 2005, which bears witness to his revolutionary influence on aviation developments in the Asia Pacific Area. His excellent leadership won him the title of No. 1 Minister in India Today in 2006 and the prestigious Economic Times Reformer of the Year Award in 2007.
